More Information: Catherine’s father was a mariner in Southampton named George William Powell Hex. Catherine had 1 sister and no brothers to continue the family name. In the 1851 census, Catherine was living at her parents house. After the death of James, Catherine remarried Edward O'Sullivan and 3 of her 8 children were put into orphanages. She even broke up the twin boys James and George, giving up George, Walter and Florence to the orphanage. |
